Tulips

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival occurs every April.

There are reportedly millions of tulips. All I found was one tulip. I was disappointed.

Then I found thousands of tulips. Maybe millions. I didn't stop to count them.

I am a tulip!

March 2012 - Disney Souvenirs and Skiing

An ornament for my Christmas tree. It did not break during the trip back from Florida. It is still sitting on my kitchen table. I should probably put it away in the garage.

These Harry Potter gloves make me very happy when I wear them. Or when I think about them.

Skiing at Crystal. I wore sunscreen.

We could see lots of mountains. Mt Rainier was hiding though. It would be somewhere over to the left.

Looks like we just received our yearly snowfall in Seattle.

Unfortunately I don't think he'll survive very long.

Mount St. Helens

For Labor Day vacation this year I went to Mount St. Helens, 3.5 hours away. I had never been there before.

I hiked on the south side of the volcano. It did not erupt while I was there, although I could see a little smoke.

There were many large trees knocked down.

The hike ended up being much longer than anticipated, but I made it out before sundown.

House updates

I am accidentally growing a plum tree farm in my backyard.

New garage door that Joe and Linda installed for me. The door looks and works great, now I need new molding.

I am going to sew. Hahahaha.

Shutters. They arrived in paintable gray color.15 applications of primer and paint later... only 3 (second coats) left. The shutters piled in the corner near the recycling are finished!
